Rinse rice and soak for 15 minutes.
Bring milk to a simmer in a heavy pot, add drained rice and cook on low heat.
Stir frequently until the grains are soft and the milk is noticeably reduced.
Add sugar, cardamom, saffron and nuts and simmer for another 5 minutes.
