Soak the nuts, then blend them with cooked onions into a smooth paste.
Warm ghee and cardamom, add the onion-nut paste and cook until it loses its raw smell.
Lower the heat and whisk in yogurt gradually so it does not split; add salt and a little water.
Add paneer, simmer for 5 minutes and finish with cream and garam masala.
Notes & Tips
A good choice for a festive thali; keep the chilli mild so the nutty flavour comes through. Nutrition values are approximate per serving.
